The Blair-Moore House offers gracious overnight accommodations in a lovely restored home dating from the early 1800's. We are the only B&B located downtown Jonesborough on Main Street. Our home is one of the oldest buildings in Jonesborough. We are conveniently located downtown in the heart of Jonesborough's Historic District. Jonesborough, which was established in 1779, is the oldest town in Tennessee. Our home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Drawing Room We feature three guest rooms, one of which is a suite. Our suite and one other room can accommodate a third person. All rooms are individually furnished with the comfort of our guests in mind. Each guest room has a private en-suite bathroom, private porch, canopy bed, vintage linens, carefully chosen art and period Tennessee and southern furniture (almost 100% of our furnishings are antiques). We have central heat and air conditioning. Each guest room is provided with a variety of reading materials. We do not have telephones or televisions in our guest rooms. We focus on providing a peaceful, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

The Western-Native American Room The Victorian Room is located upstairs. It features a queen-size hand-painted canopy bed with a matching washstand and dresser. Pale shades of aqua and rose give this room a very warm and feminine feeling. This room has a private covered porch furnished with antique wicker providing the perfect place for an afternoon of reading or an evening gazing at the stars with your companion. This porch also overlooks some of our gardens. The private en-suite bathroom has a claw-foot bathtub with added stand-up shower as well as a pedestal lavatory.
The Suite Sitting Room The Suite is located on the ground level of the house and has a private outside entrance. It has a private porch and a large private sitting room. The separate bedroom has a walnut queen-size fully dressed canopy bed. Warm shades of buttery yellow floral English chintz and soft sage green toile completes the romantic feel of this room. The private en-suite bathroom has a separate walk-in shower as well as a claw-foot bathtub for those who love to linger in a bubble bath. It also has a pedestal lavatory. The Suite Bedroom About our restoration Our home had been neglected for over 30 years before we purchased it in 1993. Therefore, major restoration and renovation was required. We did 99% of all the work ourselves (plumbing, plastering, masonry, roofing, guttering, laying tile floors, landscaping and you name it! In addition to the restoration/renovation, we have added English-style gardens, picket fences, stone walls, brick paths, Jack's woodworking shop, private off-street guest parking and other outbuildings.
Jack's Woodworking Shop About us Jack is a retired senior engineer who now enjoys restoring pre-Civil War furniture and making Chippendale-style (1770-1820) looking glasses in his shop. His looking glasses as well as period pieces of Tennessee and southern furniture are available for purchase. Tami (Mimi) was formerly a bridal wear and millinery designer and for nearly 1/2 of her life she was also involved in her family's bakery and catering business. She has received advanced training at the following culinary schools: Le Cordon Bleu (Paris, France), CIA (Culinary Institute of America), LaVarenne (The Greenbriar, White Sulphur Springs, WVA) and Johnson & Wales University. She now utilizes her skills in preparing breakfast for guests at the Blair-Moore House that are both beautiful and delicious. Breakfast All meals are special events at the Blair-Moore House and we take pride in using only the finest and freshest seasonal ingredients to create a memorable cuisine for you to enjoy. We use organic & naturally grown produce as much as possible. All herbs and vegetables grown at Blair-Moore house are organic. Prepared fresh in our kitchen each morning, we serve an elegant and beautifully presented breakfast in our dining room where you will find the table set with linens, china and silver. You will never be served any pre-prepared food at Blair-Moore House. As Tami is also a gardener, you will see her love of gardening inside her home as well as in her gardens. All of the fresh herbs and flowers using in preparing and garnishing your meals are grown in the gardens at the Blair-Moore House. Our gardens are English/French country-style. Since 1994, we have added to gardens each spring and feel that our gardens add to the special experience we offer at Blair-Moore House.
